Kaviek’co “Kovi” Molano, born September 18, 1991 is a singer/musician from Chalan Pago, Guam. He was inspired first at a young age by his stepfather, Tony Allan Garrido, who introduced him to old school hip hop with a dash of funk. With Tony being a breakdancer as well, Kovi & his brother picked up the skill.
Phil Natalio Molano, his biological father, inspired Kovi with his introduction of rock & roll. He picked up the guitar & would have jam sessions in his garage with his family. Kovi starting DJing & had gigs at local fiestas & events. He started writing original reggae songs & even started playing for local reggae bands at the age of 18. His favorite music artists include an incredible roster Bob Marley, Michael Jackson, Grand Master Flash, Nucleus & the list goes on. His biggest inspirations are Napoleon Hill, John Kehoe, & most especially his grandfather — who, in his words, “showed me I can be my own man & accomplish whatever I set out to do.”
Outside of music, Kovi enjoys the beach, reading, spending time with family & friends, his dog with a good mix of meditation & relaxation. Some of his accomplishments include completing his electrical course, receiving his diploma. He is also a certified swimming pool & spa technician, A.C. mechanic, & critical facility operator. His long term goals include building a house & becoming a chief engineer.
